Bill would ban drones from harassing hunters, anglers

Eames was testifying in favor of House Bill 278, which would outlaw the use of drones to harass anglers or hunters, as well as limit where and when the small helicopterlike devices could fly. The bill is being sponsored by Rep. Jeff Essmann, R-Billings.

Essmann said he had a personal interest in the bill, noting that his stepson saw several of the craft flying on the opening day of the big-game season while he was hunting in the Castle Mountains.
