Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Personal Robotics Group has invented a small wearable robot, aptly named “Zipperbot,” that can open and close zippers, according to the organization’s website.

When charged, the tiny — and almost cute, you could say — bot scurries up zippers and stops when there’s no more track left.

“Based on this video showing the tiny robot zipper in action, there’s no reason to believe it couldn’t be incorporated into jackets by the fall,” Gizmodo journalist Andrew Liszewski wrote about the invention.

The bot is part of the group’s Sartorial Robots project, which aims to merge fashion theory and robotics to “enhance the explorations of identities for both humans and robots.”
